A Spring/Summer 2005 skirt from Maison Martin Margiela, the Paris house founded in 1988 by Martin Margiela and Jenny Meirens. The season falls within Martin Margiela's tenure as founder and creative director, the conceptual period defined by deconstruction — exposed seams, raw edges, and construction turned to the outside. The house carried its blank white label, tacked with four visible stitches, throughout this era.
