From Ann Demeulemeester’s Spring/Summer 2011 runway collection, conceived around the ideas of “graphic abstraction” and protection, with a stark black-and-white palette and increasingly sculptural construction. This semi-sheer sleeveless top combines abstract monochrome printing with asymmetric layered panels, raw-edged seams and elongated ties, allowing the fabric to wrap and drape irregularly around the body.
