A suit from Chanel's Spring/Summer 1999 collection, designed by Karl Lagerfeld, then over a decade into his tenure. The late-1990s collections reworked the house codes at ready-to-wear pace, leaning into recognisable signatures such as the bouclé tweed cardigan-jacket rather than the stripped minimalism of the period's contemporaries. Chanel was founded by Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel in 1910.
