By this date the founder Helmut Lang had left the label in January 2005; the house had been relaunched under Link Theory and was led by creative directors Michael Colovos and Nicole Colovos, who held the role from May 2006 to February 2014. Their tenure ran the label as a contemporary, denim-forward line, distinct in authorship from the founder's archive despite the shared name.
