A top from Prada's Autumn/Winter 1998 collection, designed by Miuccia Prada, who held sole creative authority at the house from her first ready-to-wear line in 1988. The season sits within Prada's late-1990s 'ugly chic' period, characterised by deliberately off-key colour, retro and geometric prints, and subverted proportions made desirable through context. The Milanese house was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada as Fratelli Prada.
